Bethnal Green Mission Church

Welcome to Bethnal Green Mission Church. BGMC is a small, welcoming, multiracial church based in the heart of a vibrant and bustling area of London’s East End, Bethnal Green.

We are a down to earth and friendly mix of people from different backgrounds and walks of life. As a Christian church and charity we have been working in Bethnal Green for over a hundred years with the roots of our work in the story of the ‘East End Missions’ of the 19th Century. We share a common faith with millions of other Christians around the world as well as with those in our local community of Tower Hamlets.

We seek to offer a place of welcome, openness and belonging in the different aspects of our work and church life. We believe God is alive and active in our local neighbourhoods and in the wider world. One of our aims is to show that the Christian faith is real and relevant for life in the third millennium.

We welcome any enquires about our work and church life through this website, a telephone call or via a personal visit during the week or on Sundays. Our premises, with our Christian Bookshop, Books For Life in it, are open 9.30am-5.30pm every week day.
