Christmas Tree Festival
On December 17th 2011 we held the second Community Christmas Tree Festival in Tower Hamlets. We invited local organisations and businesses to design and decorate a Christmas Tree that represented their work and values. We had 21 trees which were all very different, with an enormous amount of time and creativity expended in the designing of them, as you can see from the photos. We had hand-made cakes and seasonal refreshments for sale with some children's activities and carol singing as well. Over 250 people came to the festival during the day from 10am-6pm. The tree that gained the most votes as being people's favourite was one done by Arch 76 . In the process we managed to raise £250 for Tower Hamlets Foodbank.
