An Inclusive Community

Our understanding of God is rooted in the belief that he is a ‘team’ or ‘community’ of persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit - who are diverse and dependent on each other. We see this as a starting point for our life as a church - being people who are seeking to imitate this ‘diversity-in-unity’ whilst recognising we are limited by our failings but also empowered by God’s Spirit. As a church, we place a high priority on welcoming and valuing all adults and children equally, regardless of age, sex, colour, ethnicity, religion or social background. We place a greater priority on relationships and community than we do on buildings and meetings. An underlying ethos of our community projects is a commitment to relationships, as we seek to support people who might be in situations where they are marginalised or powerless.
